We have, by choice, remained a small core group of employees. Our staff consists of professional estimators, project managers, accountants, job site superintendents, and support personnel whose foremost concern is the client’s satisfaction. We believe it is important to our clients that they feel comfortable knowing that our employees and officers are always easily accessible.

History
ABS Founder, Bud Grant grew up being a rodeo cowboy, trick rider, and horse trainer. After high school, he worked for different trades in his off time. In 1973, Bud created Shamrock Erection and began helping Bigbee Steel install pre-engineered metal buildings. In 1975, he saw a need for growth and decided to become a general contractor, creating American Building Systems Company, Inc.
Throughout the years, American Building Systems Company, Inc. became more than just a leader in the field. They were more concerned with a handshake than a contract. Bud's wife, Marsha started ABS along side him and she started keeping the books and has kept them since 1975. B.J. came on board shortly after he finished college and started estimating projects and working in design.
Bud passed away in June of 2022 leaving behind family and friends with every job site American Building Systems Company, Inc. completed since 1975. His legacy of hard work, determination, and love for the Lord live on through those he left behind.

We are also committed to building and maintaining good relationships with our employees and our subcontractors. We take great care in the selection of both, knowing that these folks will be assimilated into our family circle. ABS enjoys an extremely low turnover rate among our employees, and when we gather socially to thank our subcontractors and other friends for their continued support, we have the opportunity to visit with each other’s family members, some of whom we have known since birth. As we add new employees, subcontractors, and other business partners, our circle of friends grows wider and stronger.
